FREE Event: Hospice 101

Adding Quality of Life to End of Life

Does going on hospice mean we are giving up? This presentation will focus on the benefits of hospice; how it can improve quality of life while dealing with the reality of death.

Learn how hospice supports the entire person: mind, body, and soul, and the entire family.

Lori Gourama, Volunteer Coordinator and ProMedica Hospice (formerly Heartland) will talk about the advantages of using hospice. She will also speak about the national program “We Honor Veterans” which focuses on special issues veterans might experience at end of life. In addition, she will discuss how community members, by volunteering, can have a positive impact on patients and families dealing with a life-ending diagnosis.

Please pre-register for this event at the library, or by calling us at 484-491-1278. Please leave a message if we are not open when you call.
