Friday mornings at the Oley Valley Library are full of laughter, imagination, and creativity thanks to Preschool Storytime with Miss Mary Lou Parry. Held every Friday at 10:30 a.m., this much-loved program has been a cornerstone of the library for many years—and for good reason!

A Beloved Leader

Miss Mary Lou brings warmth, energy, and a true love of reading to every story she shares. Families across the Oley Valley community have grown to adore her storytelling style, and both children and parents look forward to spending their Friday mornings with her.

Stories That Come Alive

Each month features a special theme, and the books chosen for that month bring those ideas to life in a fun, engaging way. To make it even more interactive, the storybook pages are projected onto the library’s big screen, so everyone—whether sitting in the front row or the back—can see the beautiful illustrations clearly.

Creative Crafts Every Week

To go along with the weekly story, children get to make a themed craft project. Crafts can be completed right at the library with friends or taken home to enjoy later. It’s the perfect way to connect the story with hands-on creativity, and kids love showing off their finished projects to family members.
