We listened to promises and believed the promises we wanted to hear. We thought that by now, June 2022, Covid-19 would be a fading memory of a time gone by.

We first started hearing about Covid in 2020, and by March of that year, we were in quarantine. We would get flashes of things such as masks that are not needed if you are vaccinated. Social distancing is a scuffed and hard-to-read mark on the floor. We’re wiping out Covid and all will be back to normal.

Except that we’re not and it isn’t.

Berks County has begun a new initiative to stomp out Covid 19. It involves wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and washing your hands. Sound familiar?

Maybe the government was a little too quick to tell us we didn’t have to do this anymore.
